Debasish Sarkar Professor and Head, Department of Ceramic Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India, has 25 years of academic, research and industrial experience and published 75 peer-reviewed international journal papers, 4 book chapters, 3 Korean patents, and 2 Indian Patents. Professor Sarkar has written three popular books Nanostructured Ceramics: Characterization and Analysis, CRC Press, Boca Raton USA, 2018, and Ceramic Processing: Industrial Practices, CRC Press, New York, USA, 2019; Introduction to Refractories for Iron-and Steelmaking, Springer Nature Switzerland Aktiengesellschaft, 2020; these books grasp attention of global students, material research community and ceramic industries. Debasish is professionally involved in Design and Performance Analysis of Structural Ceramics through association with empowered National and International experts.
Professor Sarkar is also Head of the Center for Nanomaterials (CNM), NIT Rourkela. CNM has 6 active research groups and 41 faculty members from 13 departments including Science and Engineering in;

He is holding position a member in different Editorial Board and Technical Committees.
